
Manhattan Kickers FC Coaching Staff
Evan Rosenthal is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He played for the Cleveland United Soccer Club, under coach Joe Raduka, for most of his formative years. The team won numerous State Cups and club tournaments, and advanced to the semi-finals of the Gothia Cup in Sweden in 1994. He was also a part of the Olympic Development Program. As a scholastic player, Evan captained his High School team and later went on to play for nationally-ranked Washington University, where his collegiate career was cut short in 1998 by injury. After two years in the corporate world, he earned a masters degree in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh, in Scotland, and he continues to write. Since 2003, he has been a coach, working exclusively with Manhattan Kickers FC teams, coaching all teams, yet specializing in ages 5-12. Several of his former players have trialed with the US Youth National teams and have been selected to top European Youth Academies. While Evan grew up in the American system, he is well-traveled and has visited professional youth academies from Spain to England to Brazil; he’s watched matches in stadiums such as Estádio do Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro, Rome’s Stadio Olimpico, Abe Lenstra Stadion in Heerenveen, Barcelona’s Estadi Olímpic, Madrid’s Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, and Old Trafford. With these experiences around the globe, Evan brings to American youth soccer a respect and appreciation for the highest levels of the world game.
Boris Bozic is originally from Serbia. He grew up in Belgrade where he played for the OFK Belgrade Football Club. He was the captain of the team for several years in which his team won numerous State cups and tournaments all over Europe. In addition, he played for the U17 National team of Yugoslavia (now Serbia). In 2005, he moved to the United States on a soccer scholarship. His first destination was Judson University in Chicago. The team participated in the NAIA Div I and was ranked 5th in the Nation after winning the conference tournament, regional tournament and participated in NAIA Nationals. He moved to the NCAA Div I Monmouth University, NJ on a full ride. The team, for the first time in history, made it to the NCAA Tournament after being undefeated in the regular season and winning a conference tournament. He transfered to Rutgers University in 2007 to concentrate more on academics and coaching. From 2006-2009, he was a coach at WWPSA (West Windsor Plainsboro Soccer Association), NJ where he was a coach for several youth travel teams and also a coach for the Travel Development Academy. He joined the Manhattan Kickers FC in 2010. He holds a NSCAA National Diploma (UEFA B equivalent) and is an active member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). He graduated in 2009 from Rutgers University majoring in Management and Global Business. He currently resides in the Lower East Side, NYC. He is a huge fan of Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) Football Club of Belgrade, Serbia.
Robbie Baum has been in the soccer world for 20 years, starting in recreational leagues at 5 and moving to club soccer at 9. He spent most of his club soccer at Ambassador SC of Columbus, Ohio, which he captained for 3 years from the central midfield position. He later moved to Ohio FC where he won the Ohio South state championship, was a regional finalist, and won many other tournaments along the way. He also played for Westerville North high school where he won a State Championship. Robbie moved to New York City for college, and earned a starting spot in the New York University midfield as freshman. Robbie works with the youngest Kickers groups, and assists with the older teams.
Adam Pullinen grew up in Ludlow, Vermont. As a youth, he played six years for the state team in the Olympic Development Program. While at Adelphi University, Adam played four years of college soccer from 1998 to 2001. After graduating in 2002, Adam played one professional season in the United Soccer League’s Second Division for the Westchester Flames. In the spring and summer of 2009, he served as an assistant coach for the Flames, who now compete in the USL’s Premier Development League. Since August 2009, Adam has been an assistant coach for the Men’s Soccer Team at Columbia University. At the youth level, Adam has coached various teams, academies and camps for nearly 15 years. He holds an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and an NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma. Currently, Adam plays in the NYC Cosmopolitan League of NY Greek American Atlas and in Connecticut for Olympia Stamford.
